Qualia -魔法書に刻む５つの記憶- (Qualia -Mahousho ni Kizamu Itsutsu no Kioku-) - CD Presentation Page

Hello Readers... (do I have any readers?)

I have finally purchased Qualia, so I could transcribe and translate for y'all. A beast of a CD is what I say haha. 10 unique songs by 8 different singers telling 5 stories. There are all kinds of genres included in this CD. From sad ballads to symphonic metal. Now I ask myself how did I miss this CD for such a long time. The stories that are told in the songs are AMAZING. So good that I moved up Qualia in my ranking to SS and might even move it to SSS, because it exceeded my expectations thousandfold.

The five stories are:
- Single-minded Love (song 1 and 2)
- The nun who undergoes sudden transformation (song 3 and 4)
- The suicide to escape reality (song 5 and 6)
- The demon summoning fortune teller (song 7 and 8)
- Self-sacrificing love (song 9 and 10)

From what I understand purely from transcribing and first listens to songs these are the actual context of the songs:  I am not 100% sure though about every song ,but I'll see during translating.

1: tells the story of the young girl who picks up an old book who is amazed by it
2: tells the story of the book being found by the young girl in song 1
3: tells the story of a nun before transformation in song 4(beautiful butterfly)
4: tells the story of a nun after transformation  in song 3(monster butterfly)
5: tells the story of a boy who harrasses a girl until she suicides and he jumps after her
6: tells the story of the boy OR girl from song 5 during their death flight
7: tells the story of a witch who becomes a fortune teller
8: tells the story of the fortune teller in song 7 who tried to save the world in the moment of disaster
9: tells the story of a best friend of a terminally ill child, who goes in search of a flower of immortality to save their friend
10: tells the story from 9 from the viewpoint of the terminally ill child

On the pages and in the XFD the following symbols are stated with Japanese underneath. This is written out as Symbol / Japanese. Between the brackets I do the following (explanation of symbol as stated in the XFD/romaji/the translation of the Japanese)

They connect 1 to 1 to the five stories, so the Infinity story connect to "Single-minded love" etc

The order in which I like the tracks was actually very hard to determine, I liked all songs a lot, especially 4,6 and 8 were amazing. 1,2,3 and 9 were very good too. There is not a single song I disliked in this slection of 10 songs. and that makes me really happy. I think the final order is something like: 4>6>8>1=2=3 =9>10>7>5

The last page of the booklet states:

Reverse ～聖なる罪咎の鎮魂歌～ (Reverse ~Seinaru Zaikyou no Chinkonka ~) - Reverse ~Requiem of the Holy Crimes and Sins~ - Romaji and Translation

The second song :) This one definitely my favourite from the three free songs. I love Paspal's voice and the contrast with Junsei's deep voice. The first part of the song is sung by the knight of darkness, Paspal and the second part the knight of light, Junsei and then they continue together.

This translation was also so complicated, I hope i could grasp the meaning of it enough!

The translation of the first of the three free songs by Paspal/Xorsizer! Haven't heard the song? Then I have good news for you! It's up for free download from Paspal's booth!

Junsei is the knight of light (Low voice) and Paspal (Higher voice) is the knight of darkness and in this song they fight a battle until eternity between light and dark/righteousness and mutiny/good and evil.

I don't know what Junsei says around the end. Basically all the spoken parts have been guessed by ear, sorry if they are wrong! And boy this translation was so complicated, I hope i could grasp the meaning of it enough!

No scans, so it's all done by ear haha. The track slaps though haha. This post will be made proper if I ever get my hands on a scan... *cries. The need for scans really is apparent here, as you see I am not certain of certain words and if you change particles, the meaning will change drastically....

 Update: 25/06/2021, our favourite Erlkönig Noël has uploaded the lyrics and the instrumental of Alchymia. Amazing :DDDDDD. The lyrics are now proper and the entire -LostFairy- repertoire has been fully translated by your favourite Vampire! LuckyAurora.

Note: Fire + wind = Alma, Water + Earth = Iris, they resemble the four elements together as stated in the story.

What do you think my favourite track is? Heh, there only is one. It is a nice one to be honest, I love intertwining voice lines. The story will be summarised below. I don't have scans sadly, so everything on this CD is done by ear. I am not sure if I understood everything correctly, but from what I understand, they found a stone of miracles/wealth and try to extract it. But once they try to mine it... the city starts to collapse.

The red haired girl is Alma, voiced by Katakiri Rekka, the blue haired girl is Iris, voiced by Rita. Alma is actually very hard to understand due to her sleepiness.

Prologue I:

"Wandering the sky from ancient times on, is the sky-capital Fernestadt. Who named it like that? It is something that has been told in legends generation after generation. This is a story beyond the far border, a story of the heavens. The alchemist have combined magic and science. In the capital, there is a large castle, where a researcher lives that puppeteers the alchemists. The history of the alchemists. Amidst all the alchemists there is a pair of two alchemists that are considered geniuses, Alma and Iris. Even though they are childhood friends, they are also rivals. A story of a certain morning featuring these two:"

"Hnng... It's so early..."
"Alma! I told you not to oversleep that much!"
"It is a pain to return to your own room, the castle is so big.."
"This is not your place to sleep! Wake up now!"
"Iris... even if you wake up early it doesn't change much. I know hehe"
"Why are you making that smug face? During the day your power is the strongest, so it's the best to use it to clean up during the day."
"Iris, you have been diligent from the start, for me I would like to live a more laid back life hehehe.."
"Sigh.. and we are the two most praised alchemists, you know. You should work a lil harder you know"
"I am the fire and the wind, Iris, you are the ground and water. I just have the magical power, let's leave the research power to the others."
"Ah yes yes, but those who don't work don't eat. Now the duty calls us, let's hurry"
"Ah what a pain, I know I know"
"Again, why that smug face? Why are we two, amidst all alchemists called out? You know it right?"
"Ahh that enormous stone of wealth (?) , then... it's our turn"
"Yes indeed, come on let's go"
"It can't be helped... let's go"

Prologue II:

It is worthy to call it a miracle of a power, alchemy. The sky-capital, where the civilisation originates from keeps wandering the sky, today and in the future too. The people wished for that. And today, the two alchemists, Alma and Iris, believed that these peaceful days would continue. The stone of wealth (?) in the middle of the sky-capital, made the magic impossible to control however.

"King... What?!?"
"Like this... the sky capital will.. fall to the surface?!?"
