FAQ

Hi all! LuckyAurora here. I'm a Lunatic Triskaidekaphiliac Vampire Princess and Songstress!

(read: Second year University Graduate Student in Chemistry with a case of Chuunibyou).

In 2019, I saw that the girl who normally did the Hatsuki Yura translations, Meriole, skipped the Symholic CD on which she appeared. Thus I started translating Maisery. This eventually led to a cascade of translations. Eventually, I became huge fan of Paspal and Komatsu Rina haha.

I transcribe, romanise, translate and proofread everything myself or I have a friend help me! ^^
One of the more important friends is SuperCoolGuy! He usually helps me out with the romaji!!

1. What has driven you to translate?

I really liked Hatsuki Yura's songs in general and actually found Maisery to be quite an enjoyable album. Since Meriole skipped this CD, I wanted to have a translation of myself so I can fully enjoy the Senketsu + Vengel + Maisery trilogy. I also hope my readers will enjoy the CDs I translate. Gradually I became a big fan of Symholic. -LostFairy- has also always been one of my favourites. At this moment I'm probably the biggest Symholic and -LostFairy- fan in Europe hehe.

2.  Do you take requests?

Yes, as long as I have the scans or you provide me with the scans, so I can accurately transcribe. Furthermore, I preferably buy CD's on Booth than having to order it physically. Please write a comment below if you want me to work on a CD! If you are in the DoujinStyle server, I'm there as "LostFairyLunatic" or you can add me on discord with "Aurora#4916".

3. Sometimes you go on long hiatuses, do you intend to continue translating?

Yes! I started school again in February 2020, so from then on I posted translations at a slower pace. Yet I found it to be very doable to release translations slowly. I went on a break at the beginning of 2021, but I am back again! I will try to fully translate the repetoire of -LostFairy-, Komatsu Rina, Symholic and Genkaku Aria. After that I will see what I do.

4. How should I call/credit you?

LuckyAurora is fine. Only the translations are (fanmade) by me. The Kanji and Romaji do not belong to me, they belong to the circles.

If you decide to use my English translations as a base, please do credit me for the English, because it is my work and I have put a lot of effort in translating, figuring out the backstories and hidden meanings and publishing it. Don't claim the English as your own or the translation if you completely translate from English, because that is considered plagiarism. If you use the Japanese as base only, no problem, feel free to use the romaji and kanji without credit, yes I have written them out myself, but they don't belong to me, would be nice though if you credit me for writing them out, but it's not neccessary (see continuation under point 5)

5. Permissions

I have permission from Paspal and Noël to post the Japanese (Kanji and romaji) and English lyrics on my blog. Both stated that reusage for fanmade video's is also OK. Please try to refer to Symholic/-LostFairy-'s booth and/or official website.

I asked Yukki# from Genkaku Aria for permission too. They agreed to posting the japanese lyrics (kanji and romaji) and an english translation. However it is NOT allowed to make lyric videos of their music, so please respect that wish!!

6. Do you earn money with your translations?

No, I do not earn a single penny with it. I do this for fun as a hobby, because first of all, I love the music, second, I want to try to convey the meaning to a bigger audience and lastly, because I want to encourage and promote Symholic and -LostFairy-. I hope to lure in new fans for both circles, so we can support them to make new music! If I ever decide to use advertisements, I will make sure that the money goes straight to the circles I translate for.

If you have any other questions ask away! I will do my best to answer them!
