Zenoth - Romaji and Translation

We have arrived at the Final Boss song aaaaah! It's so so so soooooo amazing. I can feel the heat of this final battle in my heart when I listen to this amazing song. Just imagine Lalue, who has gained back her feelings, confronting the goddess with a sharp blade, after having taken out the rest of the guardian angels. Her unwavering hesitation as she is ready to cut up all the lies to give a future to the living, who have opposing ideas. This really is a whirlwind of emotions.

It actually reminds me of the game I am playing. I am going to leave out the names to avoid any spoilers. So, in my game, one of the guardian angels of "the boss" has been sent out to take out a girl who might destroy the world with her powers, the guardian angel had never failed a job for hundreds of years, until he met that girl. The angel always had a kind smile on his face, whatever he was doing, he always smiled (in a sense of, not showing other emotions). He felt hesitation to kill her, as his love for her grew and it made him hesitate about killing her. In order for her to live, he resolutely decided to take down all other guardian angels and "the boss" herself, so that the girl he loved could live. He never got to pointing a blade at "the boss", but has cut down about half of the guardian angels. In his normal end, he dies and the girl he loves ends up taking his place as guardian angel. Bearing the curse of immortality and having to reap lives of those who seek to destroy the world.

I truly was amazed when that I played through that story... I immediately thought of this series of songs, and it made me love both that route in the game and Symholic more.

The lines in RED is sung by Lalue, Black by Hoshio Yuka and blue are sung together. I love how the lyrics are mirrored in the second part. The first part is mainly about Lalue and the second part is mainly about the goddess. Their lives pretty much (opposite) mirror eachother, which is conveyed so well with the swap of the lines. The translation is done in such a way that the person who is singing is the "first person point of view" so when the goddess refers to she, it means that she's speaking of Lalue.

I also love, no it is not just laziness, how Paspal implemented the stanza of the other songs in this song, like at the end of the song, the past of both lalue and the goddess are touched upon. If you think more literally, Lalue has killed the goddess and brought down the top to zero. Both then have flashback to their previous lives, as if this whole business had not occurred. I interpret this as: after the zenith is defeated, the current system is reset to zero and thus they go back to where their previous lives ended.

Translation notes;
- 導く記憶の花は　-> It is Lalue who guides, but the flowers are guided. That is what I interpret
- せめぐ -> officially “ to be mutually bitter/ arguing” , but i wanted to express the heavy emotions by comparing it to a whirlwind
- 『頂』is translated to [Zenith] and『零』to zero. Again, this is to refer to the title.

五つの光、一つの夢 (itsutsu no hikari, hitotsu no yume) - Five lights, one dream - Romaji and Translation

This song is about the creation of the so called "Goddess of lies", so apparently the goddess is created by fusing the souls of a family of 5 into a doll. The song has a serene aura about it. The beat is slow and the singing voice is nice and soothing, yet it is my least favourite song of the album. It would fit better in Lilypha CD's. I am more into the fast and epic sounds and this is exactly why I listen more to Symholic and Xorsizer than to Lilypha.

This song can be compared to the third song of Maisery "時ノ杖" and the third song of Vengel "機械ノ翼". The song from Maisery and this CD are mystical songs about divines, this one about the creation of the almighty god of this universe and the other one about how this god created a device out of two other gods to turn back the time.  The song from Vengel also is about creation, but about the creation of an angel.

I actually do not have much more to say about this song, except that I find it curious that a goddess can be created like this. The advancement of technology in this fantasy universe is really something Paspal-y! I hope Paspal will cover this song too.

- I am unsure who the researchers are.
- It is ambigious if the faint light is like god or if god conjugates with the next stanza for the last part

神が統べる楽園 (Kami ga suberu rakuen) - Paradise of God - Romaji and Translation

This song introduces the paradise of god, describing how and why the mechanical angels were created. I remember when the XFD came out, I was like heh, wait this is not Lalue who sings... IT IS HOSHIO YUKA OH MY! They started immediately at a good part [欠け落ちた願いは・・・] and I couldn't do anything but to get my expectations up. The full song surely does not disappoint me!

I shall again explain how I handled the translations between the brackets: <<mukuna kodomo>> is sung as "tenshi". Thus I translate what is stated without parentheses, and what is sung in parentheses. <<innocent children (angels)>>. I translate this song from the point of view of the Goddess of lies. I have translated　「偽り」 as lie/lies in every single song, even though it actually is something closer to "fabrication", but that sounds a little less well in my translations is what I thought.

自由さえ許さない　支配された天使, as at first I wanted to translate this as " I am a dominated angel, without any freedom", until I thought, oh wait, this song is from the point of view of the goddess, not the angel. This current translation is a compromise between the point above and having it refer back to 手に掴んだ残酷な《虚空》 (a dominated angel without any freedom grasps their hands and pulls them to the void)
