カラン、コロン、マカロン。 (Karan, Koron, Macaron) - Clip Clop Macaron - Romaji and Translation

You think, this song sounds so sweet, it must have incredibly cute lyrics. Well, the lyrics are very cute in Japanese... but I cringed so hard when I tried to find english equivalents for the onomatopeia-like words. I almost gave up... at least 3 times. Let me elaborate.

The first time when I wanted to find a nice equivalent for カラン、コロン: Tap, Colon. Yes, you drink from the tap and later you go to the bathroom to empty your colon. and.... then you get a macaron. "A wonderful journey of self improvement", quote is a courtesy of SuperCoolGuy. I decided to go for, Clip Clop, as it is an alliteration and it kind of mimics the noise of clopping up batter

The second time when I wanted to find an equivalent for カラリ　コロリ: "completely cholera" Oh yes. You drink from the tap, you go to the bathroom, discover you have cholera, empty your colon and then... your otomegokoro goes dokidoki... yes.. I decided to go for "completely colourful change" to preserve the alliteration.

The third time I almost quit due to コケティッシュ: coquettish. I never heard of this word before, apparently this means " trying to attract attention by pretending to be sexually interested in someone, in a pleasant but not serious way". I get the meaning of the word but, oh boy, a burnt punpunpun burnt flirt... yes... I had to think of a way to get it into a proper sentence...

Anyway, love is sweet... so sweet... it also is bitter when you have to deal unrequited love though.
