契り謳う黒焔のヴァルキュリア (Chigiri Utau Kokuen no Valkyria) - CD translation

Let's be frank. I have no idea how to romanise the third word in Kanji. I thought it was Kokuen, but not sure.  Heh I'll just go with that then. This CD is the collaboration between Katakiri Rekka(片霧烈火), who is also known as Closed/Underground (Ngl, she's pretty famous lol, unlike this album) and Noël. 

This is a preview page. The translations will come in December. 

There are actually 2 covers for this CD, one with a Valkyrie and one with the Blue Princess. The one with the Blue Princess looks amazing tbh!

By the way, it's likely you haven't heard the crossfade, so check it out here!

There is again no story track for this CD and there are only 2 new songs in the CD. The order in which I liked the songs is 2=3>1>4, lol 4 has a good beat but the English... sorry it ruins the track for me. 1 is decent, it even mentioned my name, but it was a heeeeelllll to translate. It made no sense to me at all the first 5 times I listened to it. The song is cool melody wise though.

I will translate the titles as follows

夢幻アリステイル (Mugen Alicetale) - Eternal Alicetale - Romaji and Translation

This song has been labelled with a bunny! Pyon! This is a reference to the rabbit of Alice in Wonderland, who has led Alice (in our case Alicia, heh) to Wonderland and make her experience a new adventure... I mean... in our case to find Madrigale (Fragments of Dreams). 

This song has been remastered from the first album. There it was called 悠久のFairytale. The title is incredibly similar, both titles have a fairytale and eternal in it. I have preserved many fragments (Madri.... something) from the previous translation!

This song appears again on the Merveilles album, this time sung by Sayu. TThe transcription actually is different but I'm not bothering to write it out twice in a translation (I did write it out like it should be in the booklet of Merveilles in the Merveilles kanji page).

新世界より(Shinsekai yori) - From the new world - Romaji and Translation

We have arrived at the next song, the song of the heart. Aah this song is so sad... I almost cried when translating it. Both Satsuki's and Rekka's version are very nice. I imagine Alicia traveling to a new world, to reach that place, she had to leave behind everything she held dear. I imagine the song to be a subconcious prayer/letter to the person Alicia wants to reach the most (in my translation it is "you"), before everything fades to nothingness and her memories do not recover. 

This song has also been included in the Valkyria album, the only thing that was changed there is the dialog, which has been omitted

Black Lolita - Romaji and Translation

I finally found out that "nigeru" just is "jet black", the latin word for it. I prefer NOT getting canceled on the internet, so I leave the romanisation of the titles and such as nigel lol. There is another version in the Arietta CD sung by Yuki. There are minor changes to the lyrics.

Instead of "nigeru no kyouen" "孤独な狂宴 (kodoku na kyouen)" is sung, lit. 'a lonely revelry'.
Another difference is that Priscilla makes a tiny appearance.
I think here she says 闇と共に　死を記憶せよ (Shi wo kiokuseyo), which I last time translated as: Thou shalt remember death!

The second time, instead of "nigeru no kyouen" , 悲劇の終焉 (Higeki no Shuuen) "The end of tragedy" is sung.

The next song is the song of the spade. I think the girl referred to in this song is Melusine, see the 7th album 呪われし亡国のメフィストフェレス), as Melusine does have a cursed eye and wears a Black (?) lolita dress, hence I'm quite certain of it. The "witch" version of Alisha in the booklet has her left eye covered with a card, so it can't be her. 

This song was quite short, I have few remarks on it, but boy those drums hit nicely ;3

 Lol, I had trouble figuring out the title of this song. I trust SuperCoolGuy with my romaji, so I will also trust his suggestion for the title of this song. Juju! This is the song of the Clover. I think I once referred to this song in one of the translations I did back in Januari: " 戯れの花畑 (Tawamure no Hanabatake) - The Flower Garden of Pranks, literally, I wrote there "Do you know the magic word that has as meaning "Cuteness is justice"? That is Madrigale! Oh wait... wrong album." Turns out we are just using a couple of magic words with "Honey" in this song :P. 

Translation:

This song has been labeled with the "Diamond" of the cards of a deck. This is a reference to Alice in Wonderland. The word Soirée is French for evening, but in English it is more used in the context of an evening party. The first song is a nice opening to the CD. We enter an entire new world (heh, but that's the title of the 4th song/track 5) that only opens at night... This song has been translated from the point of view of Alicia.

This song appears again on the Merveilles album, this time sang by Yuki. The spoken line is different and the transcription actually is different as well but I'm not bothering to write it out twice in a translation (I did write it out like it should be in the booklet of Merveilles in the Merveilles kanji page). Welcome to the Alice in Wonderland CD, where cute is justice!

Have you heard the crossfade yet? If no here it is:

"Huff! This is the inside of my heart! A strange world, heh? It is almost a place that could come out of a fairytale! Well then, you, who has been peeking from there for a while, do you know what Madrigale is? Naaahhh... You certainly don't know! I shall tell you the meaning! A song of the heart, passed down from ancient times! Being coloured by four fragments, a real maiden, Nami, will continue to sing that, is what is told by others! Oh yes, I came here to become a real maiden too! It seemed to be fun! Diamond, Clover, Spade, Heart, I have the feeling these four cards are trying to hint at something. Hmmmm... in that case, Beauty, Cleverness, Strength, Kindness, are those four needed? I wonder if I can do it... If I put effort in it and think well and face my fears and sadness... No! I can't be timid here! Next to that, singing is my speciality! Inside my heart, I will spin the four fragments together and will certainly complete the "Madrigale"! Well, here I go! It's... not scary at ... all! The dreaming maiden... is me...

Not sure what "Shin no Otome" is but I figure it is this "真", which means "real/true/honest"

Did you know that the voice actress of Alicia (the girl on the cover) is Kotori from Love Live?! Well hereby you know! 

The order in which I like the songs is 4>3=5=2>6.  4 has the best beat and I think it refers to Melusine, as it mentions her brother (Nigel). 3 is really strange yet good, the talking part is really cute. 2 is also pretty nice. Shinsekai Yori is also a good song, but I don't like it as much as the others until I translated it, but the last song is also good. it is a remaster of one of the songs of the first album.

This is the only new song in the Fragment album. I like it a lot, especially the parts where the voices of Yuki and Sayu intertwine. I imagine the two girls on the cover to be the dolls that are drawn on the cover of the cd.

Prière ～白き誓い～ (Prière～shiroki chikai～) - Prayer ~White vow~ - Romaji and Translation

This song is about the holy maiden who endlessly devotes her prayers/love songs (Minnesang) to the eternal world and has to bear with living for a long time, witnessing countless lives being created and dying off. This makes the girl sad and question her existence. This song basically lives up the title of the album.

Prière is French for "prayer" by the way :).

that I will never forget... this "White vow"

アルビノの騎士 (Albino no Kishi) - Knight of Albino - Romaji and Translation

Wow... This is a strong song. I imagine a fierce battle field when I think of this song. It's about a hero/knight who wants to reclaim the world for the people by defeating the Gods of Asgard. Asgard is kind of "the kingdom of the sky where the gods live" in Norse mythology. Humans live in "Midgard". The knight is probably an albino, someone with few pigments in his/her skin. I imagine the scene in this song to be clouded in darkness until the knight defeats the gods, then light is released over the world.

I imagine that the "Last Destiny" is the destiny of the knight, to defeat the gods who rule over the world.  The "Lost Destiny" is  that humans can live freely on the world again, not being ruled by gods anymore. Light is released upon the world and the knight dies due to being an albino and not being able to handle light well and due to his/her wounds of fighting the gods. 

This song also appears in the Valkyria album, lyrics unchanged, but sung by Katakiri Rekka. Hence that album is tagged too.

Translation note:
- 刹那の命尽きるまで この身を突き刺す　眩い光
I have had great trouble translating this line. I had two interpretations:
- 刹那の命 can mean "A life that lasts just a moment", compared to the Gods, humans live a fraction of the time that they have been alive.
or
- For just a tiny moment, as in a 1/75th second to be precise
With the current translation I have left this ambiguous.

Release plan November 2020

 Hello dear readers,

It has been 2 months... and a little. University life has been crushing me, no time to release stuff. I did make some plans though for the next 12 posts for this month.

This M3 (25-10-2020), I looked forward to the new -LostFairy- collab (The alchemist of Fernstadt - Prelude) with Rita and Katakiri Rekka. I will pick this up as soon as possible. It's 2 pieces of drama CD and 1 new song. A full release of the CD will someday come. I really wonder when though. The new CD of Lalue/Komatsu Rina is also lit. It's not like the usual symholic things, but it is still pretty nice J-pop.

There was a ArsMagnA twitcast on the 23rd. Sayu and Noël showed up. Noël recognised me as "Lucky from overseas" haha. Well, they talked mainly about YuukyuuGensou Nostalgia and that the new story (not sure if Noël was referring to the Fernstadt or some other album) was kind of like the anime "Mahoutsukai no yome", as Sayu was addicted to that. Then they played Venus Blood from the Nostalgia album and mainly talked about the Nostalgia album... Then, they played Ataraxia~至純の詩~. Both songs had real bad echoes hahaha. Then they talked about the Colette doll and Sayu's hobby, which is "dolls". After 40 minutes, they finally started talking about the new cd. "Fernestadt no Renkinjutsu". The cast is Rita and Katakiri Rekka, unlike their initial plan to hire voice actresses. It was going to be a big project, so he needed more time.......... Then they went on showing the song "Alchymia Kiseki no Ishi　(Alchymia ~ 奇跡の石~)". And then I had to go to a meeting :(

In terms of translations, I will try to release some of the following items in November:

- the last 2 songs of the Minnesang album (Kanji and romaji done and have been published earlier)

For December or January (most likely January though), I'll have the Fernstadt pages (1 page for a song, 1 for the song translation) if I can come by the CD and will maybe buy Qualia (Symholic) (10 songs). 

Remind Dimension is also on the priority list

In January/February translate the Zahnrad (symholic) album too and the collab with Katakiri Rekka when I know how to pronounce the title haha.

By then I will have released all LostFairy CD's and I need a new job heh! Jokes aside, enough stuff to translate.
