(Albino no Kishi) - Knight of Albino - Romaji and Translation

Wow... This is a strong song. I imagine a fierce battle field when I think of this song. It's about a hero/knight who wants to reclaim the world for the people by defeating the Gods of Asgard. Asgard is kind of "the kingdom of the sky where the gods live" in Norse mythology. Humans live in "Midgard". The knight is probably an albino, someone with few pigments in his/her skin. I imagine the scene in this song to be clouded in darkness until the knight defeats the gods, then light is released over the world.

I imagine that the "Last Destiny" is the destiny of the knight, to defeat the gods who rule over the world.  The "Lost Destiny" is  that humans can live freely on the world again, not being ruled by gods anymore. Light is released upon the world and the knight dies due to being an albino and not being able to handle light well and due to his/her wounds of fighting the gods.

This song also appears in the Valkyria album, lyrics unchanged, but sung by Katakiri Rekka. Hence that album is tagged too.

I liked this song so much I made a cover of it too lol:

Anyway, the translation is below:

アスガルド目指す無限の旅路に 終焉を告げる旋律
崩れそうな天空に剣を翳して 神の宴に導かれる

asugarudo mezasu mugen no tabiji ni shuuen wo tsugeru Merodii

Heading for Asgard, I embark on an endless trip, a melody that signals demise
I hold up my sword towards the seemingly crumbling skies, and am leaded to the banquet of the gods

inori wo sasageru mono he no sukui wo motome 「hirakareshi tobira」
setsuna no inochi tsukiru made kono mi wo tsukisasu mabayui hikari

"The door is opened" as I seek salvation for those who are devoting prayers
A blinding light pierces my body, for just a moment.

me no mae ni hirogaru mugen no daichi ni shuuen wo tsugeru Merodii

A melody that signals demise of the land of fantasy that spreads out in front of my eyes
I hold up my sword towards the seemingly crumbling skies, and am leaded to the banquet of the gods

inori wo sasageru mono to no kioku to tomo ni 「sabakareshi inochi」
kagayaki hanatsu seisen no butai ni hibiita kiseki

"My life is judged" together with the memories of those who devote prayers
A miracle, releasing sparkles, reverberated on the Stage of the Holy War.

Last Destiny

tsuyoku hakanaki omoi towa no chikai ni kaeru
ima ni mo kuchi hate sou na Last Destiny
wasurete shimawanai you ni

A strong fleeting thought of the "Last Destiny"
that is even seeming to fall apart at this moment
turns into an eternal vow
So we don't forget

mamorubeki mono to no kyori wa tooku 「kagayakeru sekai」
soredemo hito no kagiri aru sadame ni aragai tsuki susumu

The distance from the "Shining World" to the ones we need to protect is enormous
Yet, I thrust ahead, resisting the finite fate of humans

Last Destiny

tsuyoku hakanaki omoi towa no chikai ni kaeru
ima ni mo kuchihatesou na Last Destiny
wasurete shimawanai you ni

A strong fleeting thought of the "Last Destiny"
that is even seeming to fall apart at this moment
turns into an eternal vow
So we don't forget

Lost Destiny

kamigami no kizuato hijou na sorichuudo
futatabi meguri aeru Lost Destiny
negatte hikari wo tadotteku

The scars of the gods, a cruel solitude
I finally meet the Lost Destiny again
by following the light I wished for

usureru ishiki no naka de sora ga mata kagayaku you inoru...

In my fading conciousness, I pray that the heavens will shine once again...

Translation note:
I have had great trouble translating this line. I had two interpretations:
- 刹那の命 can mean "A life that lasts just a moment", compared to the Gods, humans live a fraction of the time that they have been alive.
or
- For just a tiny moment, as in a 1/75th second to be precise
With the current translation I have left this ambiguous.
