And now we are invited to a ball... a mad ball that can only accessed around midnight...
I honestly have no idea if this is a "general" song to fill out the gothic theme or it is Melusine inviting you to the ball. I think the latter, although Melusine does not seem to be the type of person that easily talks with someone in a friendly manner, the formulation of the sentences are very Melusinesque. As seen in her dialogues with Colette, Melusine has a real mysterious way of talking, she uses a lot of かしら and ... and うふふ in her speech. In the song the ... and the かしら come back a lot. Melusine also is a French name, referring to the mythical figure Melusine. I therefore think Melusine also can speak french (next to Japanese... lol...).
I think it is implied that the red and blue of a jewel box refer to two very common red and blue gemstones being Rubies and Sapphires. When I have to imagine gemstones in certain colours Rubies come up first for red, sapphires for blue... amethyst for purple, emerald for green... etc...
This is my least favourite song of the CD, due to it being more jazzy, while I prefer the usual "heavier metal" style of LostFairy. Even though I liked this song least, I still really enjoyed it, one of the better passages is the chorus. I have to admit that I had great trouble figuring out the title of this song by the way, I initially thought the romaji part in title was "silver plate" lol.... but after some listening, thinking and looking in the booklet. I realised it should have been "s'il vous plaît. I decided to also translate the french in the song.
