ゲーティアの魔紋 (Goetia no Mamon) - Demon Crest of Goetia - Romaji and Translation

"It is called [The Demon Crest (Goethia)], the Crest of Darkness... Yes... It's forbidden power, is only for the sake of the Demon King (Erlkönig)... no... Only for my big brother's sake!"

The quote of the last song is written above. Erlkönig means something like "Elf king" (although it was a mistranslation) in German, but it actually also translated as demon king. This "Erlkönig" is also a ballad by Goethe, which describes a father who brings his son who is probably struck by a life-threathening illness home. The boy sees an elf king inside his dream, and when the father arrives home, the poor boy has succombed to his disease, which is symbolised by "giving in to the Erlkönig". The name of the demon crest Goethia probably comes from the name Goethe. I will further elaborate on the demon king in the CD of Mephistopheles.

So opening the demoncrest gave Melusine the power of the demons... to be by her brother's side.... but it also works to send people off to their world they came from.
