Ghostology - Translation and Romaji

The first vocal track! This song starts with a bit of English and then starts telling the story of the meeting between Mary and the Mechanical Angel. As how I understand it. The angel is reprogrammed every time she has to carry out a duty. Emotions are not permitted, thus she locks her emotions deeply in her heart. She does realise that what she is doing griefs herself. Her next duty is to rectify the justice in the world by tieing down the evil spirit, which is "Bloody Mary's spirit".

In my translation, I translate from the point of view of the mechanical angel.

The English in black is from the booklet and is literally said by Lalue at the beginning of the song. The Kanji is also black, romaji and 《what Lalue actually sings instead of the actual kanji》 in blue.
Translation is in red.

An angel of a machine programmed by a presence called god in this world.
The only reason to act is to correct the absurdity that prevails in this world.
Emotions are not permitted and are corrected when an error occurs.
I used to be corrected in the past, but I have not remembered the memory at that time.
I got an order again today and flew for a mission to give judgment.
Without stopping the aching of the wings of the machine on one's back. 

白銀に輝く翼よ　闇夜に浮かぶ赤月へと羽ばたけ

Hakugin ni kagayaku tsubasa yo yamiyo ni ukabu sekigetsu e to habatake《tsuku》rareta kainade sabaku wa horobi wo maneku kage no sanka

My wings glittering in silver, I spread them to fly to the floating red moon in the dark night
Judging with my 《created》 arms , I invite shadows of evil to ruin

幾度と戦果を消されて
上書きされ続けた使命を果たし
感情さえも許される事のない《任務》

uekakisare tsudzuketa shimei wo hatashi

Erasing the fruit of battle many times
I accomplished the continuously overwritten duties
Even feelings were not allowed 《Only my duty (I am lost in my knife)》

花びらも　慟哭も　過去の　《罪科》　も
鍵を掛けられ欺かれた　《記憶》　の中
空を翔けて　翼を軋ませて　殺め続けた機械の天使

Hanabira mo doukoku mo kako no 《tsumi》mo

Flower petals, lamentation and also the 《offenses (sins)》 of the past

Again and again, I accumulated the punishments, pretending to not notice the 《defects (error)》

To tie the cursed evil spirit, to save the heart of an innocent girl
I received an 《order》, a simple 《instruction (process)》, a sacred hymn that would rectify the world

Holding back my reckless behaviour many times
I kept protecting the justice that was continuously being overwritten
Even if I lost my way and there was no inspiration 《my limitations (I get lost in the knife)》

伝承も　渇望も　過去の《時間》も
鍵を掛けられ閉ざされてた《彼女》の中
赤く染めた　両手で空を割いて　縛り続けた黒い《悪霊》
狂気が張り続く笑顔に隠れた憂い 気付かぬふりして

Legends, craving and also the 《time》 in the past
I could lock my bottled up feelings inside 《her (Mary)》
I tore the sky with my both hands dyed in red, I continuously tried to tie down the black 《evil spirit (ghost)》
I hid the madness that kept spreading inside a smile, pretending to not notice the sorrow.

幾度と命を奪って
創造された蒼い時計　宿す
対象の過去を覗き込む事ができる《大杖》

ikudo to inochi wo ubatte
souzousareta aoi tokei yadosu
taishou no kako wo nozokikomu koto ga dekiru 《staff》

I have stolen lives many times
Entrusted with the "Creation's Blue Clock"
I could look into the the past of the target 《with a large staff (staff)》

鮮血も　十字架も　過去の《幻想》も
鍵をこじ開け今暴いた《惨劇》の中
見せた景色　その手を血で染め上げ　殺戮の道歩む《女王》
悲しみに歪んでしまった記憶辿り　時計の針を戻した・・・・・・

Senketsu mo juujika mo kako no 《yume》 mo
kagi wo kojiake ima abaita 《misery》 no naka
miseta keshiki sono te wo chi de someage satsuriku no michi ayumu 《Queen》
kanashimi ni yugandashimatta kioku tadori tokei no hari wo modoshita ......

Fresh blood, a cross, and also the 《fantasies (dreams)》 of the past.
I wrenched open the lock, it opened now, inside there was 《tragedy (misery)》
The scenery inside showed a 《queen》 walking the path of massacre, her hands just finished getting dyeing in blood.
After I had seen the memories that were warped in grief
I turned back the hands of the clock......

When finding her who was a devil,
I turned back the hands of time and looked into her past,
It was anamnesis as a sad and crazy bloody queen.

There is a lot of peculiarity in this song. A lot of text is different from the booklet. this is why i put the actual text that she sings between the symbols instead of the romaji of how to read the kanji. I used the translation for the kanji though and put the translation of what she actually sings in () in the English.

Translation notes:

- 両手で空を割いて
Used the other kanji for saku, tearing apart instead of the kanji written.

- 鍵を掛けられ閉ざされてた＜＜彼女＞＞の中
I have the feeling that this stanza is seen from the view point of the girl.

- 狂気が張り続く笑顔に隠れた憂い 気付かぬふりして
This is a bit of a riddled sentence. Even though 憂い is part of the first part of the stanza, in my translation I connected it to 気付かぬふりして. I colour coded above how I translated it.

- 幾度と命を奪って
創造された蒼い時計　宿す
対象の過去過を覗き込む事ができる＜＜大杖＞＞

These stanzas refer to the third song, 時ノ杖. I also took some liberty in the translation here. I translated 創造された蒼い時計　宿す a bit... riddled maybe? I try to highlight that the mechanical angel carries a blue clock, which was created by god, which can turn back the time.


- 鍵をこじ開け今暴いた＜＜惨劇＞＞の中
This stanza is different from the first two variations, I imagine that the mechanical angel locks down her feelings, memory, sorrow etc in her heart (1st time) and it seems that the girl locks her sadness in Mary (2nd time) . In this (3rd time) stanza, I imagine that the mechanical angel opens the lock of her heart and sees the overflowing misery and tragedy inside her.

- 悲しみに歪んでしまった記憶辿り
Instead of using the real translation of 辿り, I chose to use "After I had seen" to indicate the following action.
