Wait what? 13 posts on the 24th already? Is Lucky not lazy this time? Well... They probably reverse my permission to use legacy blogger today, so I just try to output as many posts as possible with legacy blogger.
This song is about the worldtree "Yggdrasill" to which the girl (Stella or a previous reincarnation of her) devotes prayers. It's an ethnic style song with an air of grace to it. The song is a kind of window composition. Inside the song, a story is told about how long the Yggdrasill has lived and that she devotes prayers to it. There is not much else to say about the song as it is pretty straightforward to me.
This song is also featured in the 10th CD, but instead of being sung by Hato, it's sung by Sayu. I think both versions are likable. Ethnic is not entirely my thing but oh well, the composition is not bad at all. I really like the harmonies at "の欠片" in both versions.
inishie yori tsutaerare seireitachi ni tsumugareru
itsukushimi no rakuen wo irodori nagara tayutau hikari
A tale spun by spirits that has been passed down from ancient times
about the fluttering light as it colours the paradise of affection
shinpi no mori no daiju ni sono ibuki wa yadoru to iu
ikuta no meguri awase de kuon no toki wo mukaeta
It is said that a large tree carries the breath of the mysterious forest
has seen everything of the world and its lifespan approached the time of eternity
haruka tooi basho made mo kono utagoe wa hibiku
chiisana ai no kakera mune ni himete
My singing voice will reach places even if they are far, far away,
and I cherish a tiny fragment of love in my heart.
「takaku, sora he」 odayaka na kaze ga sasayaku
towa ni tsudzuku sekaiju ga orinasu gensou ni inori sasage...
A gentle breeze whispers: "High, towards the sky"
and I devote my prayers to the fantasies that the Yggdrasill endlessly interweaves
shizukana toki no daichi ni sono ibuki wa yadoru to iu
sunda mizu no nagare majiwari nagara kanaderu
It is said that the earth carries the breath of the silent moments
As it mingles streams clear water it plays

「takaku, sora he」 odayaka na kaze ga michibiku
odoru you ni utsukushiki hanabira maiagaru
A gentle breeze whispers: "High, towards the sky"
Beautiful flower petals soar in the sky as if they are dancing
hikari wo motomete kegarenaki tori ga habataku
towa ni tsudzuku sekaiju ga orinasu gensou ni inori sasage...
Pure birds take off to the sky, searching for the light
and I devote my prayers to the fantasies that the Yggdrasill endlessly interweaves...
Translation notes:
- 幾多の巡り合わせ -> literally translates to something like numerous chances, but it makes no sense
World Tree, in norse mythology it's named "Yggdrasill" (see title of the song). It is a huuuuge tree that connects worlds.
According to the lyrics, the girl devotes her prayers to the "fantasies", but I actually expect she devotes them to the Yggdrasill
- Interpretation of these 2 stanza:
神秘の森の大樹に その息吹は宿るという, I interpret this as something similar to
